PASTEURISER SS MILKY FJ15
1
The ‘Milky Pasteuriser’ can be used in most areas where there is access to water mains and power outlets, and comes with all necessary fittings. The Milky Pasteuriser is a convenient size for both kitchen and dairy with pasteurisation of up to 15 litres of milk. Total time for pasteurisation is less than one and a half hours allowing time for both heating and cooling down. Once the pasteurisation process is complete the inner milk container can be lifted out allowing for easy transportation of the milk. The pasteurisation unit requires little maintenance over and above regular cleaning with a good household detergent and monthly system checks.
• Many dairy herds may be infected to some degree with E. Coli 0157 which has emerged since 1982. • Raw (unpasteurised) milk, even that taken from apparently healthy cows, may contain a variety of harmful bacteria which are capable of causing serious illness in humans. Brucellosis is well known as a serious disease that can be acquired from drinking raw milk. • Since July 1997 in Ireland it is illegal to sell unpasteurised milk for direct human consumption. • Farmers can now pasteurise their own milk, using the ‘Milky Pasteuriser’ and be sure of a safe product, at 50-60% of the cost of buying from a retail outlet.
