Description

Antique Brass Plated

Brass plated finish with a dye additive to produce the colour (Antique finish).

Decorative Internal

Black

Either black enamel paint is applied to the product and then baked on, or a black powder coat to produce a smooth black finish is applied. Alternatively an electro zinc plate finish with a black passivation is applied offering greater protection than a painted finish.

BZP (Bright Zinc Plated)

A decorative, bright silver coating on steel, often applied prior to chrome plating. A decorative coating applied for its bright attractive appearance. Usually applied on top of a nickel flash which provides a tough surface coating. Also known as Bright Brass Plated or Polished Brass and is developed using electro deposits of copper/zinc/nickel on steel to produce an attractive brass finish (also see Antique Brass Plated). Often finished with a clear lacquer to offer protection and prevent tarnishing. Also known also as Galvanised, this is one of the most conventional forms of zinc coating and one of the most effective forms of corrosion resistance. Produces a roughened surface due to the process of dipping in molten zinc. An iron alloy with a minimum 10.5% chromium. All our Stainless Steel is graded AISI 316 which refers to the amount of chromium included in the metal, the higher the reference, the more chromium giving better corrosion resistance. Articles without a protective finish application. Often used when further assembly operations are required. Self-Colour chain can be polished by tumbling in a barrel with non-metallic material - this is then known as Bright Polishing. It is sometimes supplied with a thin coating of anti-rust oil to protect the product whilst in transit.
